I’m afraid I’m still working on my big project I mentioned to you in the last audio session, but don’t think for one moment that I’m messing around. A few of you were actually able to brave the weather and the Dracs to come find ol’ Lazer Queen’s tracks, and for that, I’m grateful. To keep us all alive a bit longer, I’m afraid that I can’t say how many people I’ve got working with me now, but I can tell you that it’s a good number, and it’s more than what BLI thinks we’ve got on hand, and that in itself is pretty grand, wouldn’t you say? We’re always looking for new recruits for new schemes, new regiments to create new dreams, and new fighters to fight for our teams. If you’re tracking Lazer Queen and co., know that we’ve moved on, and I’m able to give you more detailed coordinates this time:

Simulating a stimulating story that’s bound to keep you on the edge of your seat and stirring your emotions to correlate to every heartbeat. This is Lazer Queen coming to you on the transmission super highway.

Well gang, I’ve had a brush with a brick wall. Out here in Zone 2, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this wasn’t it. My good friends Hollow Miner and Aero Plain have vanished without a trace. Their bunker was raided, completely trashed; I can still smell the chemicals that BLI used to wipe the place clean. Few things are left, but I did find a secret compartment that Miner and Plain must have been storing things in for a while. I found sealed letters addressed to me, an old diary, some old cds, a few dusty guns and magazines…I feel as if I’m on the brink of something, kids. I’m just not sure what. I guess I’ll hunker down in here until I figure out what I’m doing next. Maybe I’ll be able to update more often, too.

I don’t have any more time to waste. For now, I’m on a journey of the mind, unraveling these mysteries of the past. I hope they help us sew up our future with stronger thread.

Blasting your eyes with contraband, hello motor babies, it is Lazer Queen coming to you again with all the blurry visions of the future that you crave so much.

How are you? I wish I could talk to you more often. I’m still not in the clear yet; in fact, despite all efforts, I am exactly where I did not want to be—Battery City. I won’t get into the messy details of how I got here, but believe me when I say: they leave us all behind out there in the Zones. This place is overrun with BLI’s influence. I believe we’re the enemy. There are Draculoids on every corner; I’m wearing a mask almost every hour of the day to avoid detection. I do believe, sometimes, that I’ll die with it on. But hey, if that’s necessary, I’m ready for it.

I think I’ve tapped into a safe set of wires in order to bring you this message, but I don’t know…security is even tighter than in the system I broke into back in Zone 6 (oh, acid rain, I never thought I’d miss you, but I do). So if I get cut off, don’t worry, I’ll make it to Zone 2 or die trying.

We’re all kids from yesterday, it seems. I had to throw some stark white and black duds over my usual blue ensemble, and my gun is hidden on a part of my body that I never thought to hide it before. When I walk down the street, I see faint remnants of the past, a sparkle of light in some youngster’s eyes that will go out soon if someone doesn’t save her. It’s enough to make you sick, what society has become. I’ve got to stop it, somehow, or at least plant a seed of dissention in someone. For that to happen, I need to make it to Zone 2 like a cheetah with a jet pack. This is Lazer Queen loud and clear coming to you from just outside of Zone 4 kickin’ back and watching those polluted clouds sing me to sleep.

.Hello, sunshine. I bet you were pretty worried when we last left each other. Honestly, I didn’t know what I was doing, busting into BLI’s computer…but was it fun! Oh, and Merry Christmas (forgot to say that last time!). I thought I was about to get ghosted there for a while; that S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W Unit don’t play. I did get a little burned, but don’t worry; it’s nothing a little TLC won’t fix. I just gotta steer clear of the acid rain that’s so prevalent around here. I’m trying to reach some contacts in Zone 2, but that seems like such a long way off…

How did I ditch the Dracs, you ask? Well, now, a magician can’t give away all her secrets, can she? Of course I had help from my boyfriend and my good friend Alien Enigma, but mostly I’ve set out on this journey alone. They follow at a distance, but they have their own bones to pick with BLI, so we try to stay a day apart. We figure if we travel together, we make a larger moving target. Our cell phones are old and contraband, naturally, but we tap into a signal that’s under the radar (for now) and can communicate pretty easily. We are trying not to take advantage of the freedom of communication, and we speak mostly in code, just in case. I’m in a deserted shack right now, but there is a working computer here, one not connected with BLI, so hopefully I won’t get cut off (and chased) like last time. But I’m sure this little blog is long enough already—you kids have to fight the enemy too, and my journey is just a drop in the bucket. I do this just to let someone know that someone else has a mission. If I inspire one or one hundred, it’s all the same to me and I’ve done my job.

I’m resting up here for tonight, and hopefully I can get a start out across the rest of Zone 4 before the rain sets in too hard. I’ll be bypassing Battery City on the outskirts…I can’t go in there just yet. Like I said, Zone 2 is my goal, and if you’re there and reading this, expect me in a couple of weeks…a month, who knows? I can only walk so fast and my injuries don’t exactly help my physical prowess. Don’t worry about me; save yourself and I’ll hold them back. I can still shoot, dammit, and that’s good enough for now.

Why am I walking? Sometimes I ask myself that same question, but listen up: when they caught me hacking the computer, I didn’t want to lead them to my house (where my car is, naturally) and my family, so I just kept running on foot. It’s easier to hide a person in dumpsters and dark alleyways, and I don’t have to worry about the car getting messed up or stolen in transit. I trust my family with it, and they’ll need it more than me. So, I traded tires for boots and a gas tank for a blaster, but either way, I’m still rockin’ speed and firepower, darling, so stay calm. Lazer Queen isn’t going down without a fight.

Well, dawn is coming soon, and I’d better snooze before I lose. This methane sky is orange with radiation, and for a minute, you could even call it beautiful. I’ll try to tap in to the traffic report (if that frequency plays out here), and then I’m out.

Greetings from BLI’s central computer system, this is Lazer Queen, contaminating Zone 6. Operation Do or Die is now underway.

The radiation continues to scorch us out here, but we keep fighting. Access to computers is limited out here in Zone 6, and I don’t know how much longer I’ll have on this computer before they catch me, so listen up. I’m following in the steps of those American heroes, the Killjoys. I believed BLI for so long. My life used to be perfect, until one day I heard a pirate radio station being blasted from my boyfriend’s radio, and that’s when Dr. Death Defying showed me the light…
Oh, sometimes it’s hard; I know the truth now, and BLI has it out for me. My family has no idea; I keep it under wraps for their safety. I don’t see them often, and this hurts me; but I’d rather keep them safe. I’d rather they not know. When the corporation crumbles, that’s when they will truly be safe. With me underground and disassociated from them, they’re better off. Mom, Sister, Stepdad, you know who you are. I love you, and I’ll keep fighting for you.

Have courage, keep your gun close, don’t back down. Don’t compromise. Tell your loved ones what they mean to you. Keep running. As long as there is one person fighting, we will take back control. Better Living Industries cannot keep us down. This is our world.
